Indication

DAIVONEX Scalp Solution is indicated for the topical treatment of mild to moderate scalp psoriasis.

Dosage DAIVONEX 50 μg / ml Solution for scalp 120 ml bottle

- Adult: DAIVONEX solution for scalp should be applied twice daily (morning and evening) on ​​the lesions. The maximum dose per week should not exceed 60 ml.
When used concomitantly with DAIVONEX Cream or DAIVONEX Ointment, the total dose of calcipotriol should not exceed 5 mg per week, eg 60 ml of DAIVONEX scalp solution plus a 30 g tube of cream or ointment, or 30 ml of DAIVONEX scalp solution plus 60 g (two 30 g tubes) of cream or ointment.
The duration of treatment will be indicated by the doctor but should not normally exceed 22 weeks.
- Child: Not recommended in the absence of experience of use in children.

Against indications

CONTRAINDICATED:
- As with any topical, DAIVONEX Scalp Solution is contraindicated in patients with a history of allergy to the active substance or to any of the excipients.
- DAIVONEX Scalp Solution is contraindicated in patients with known calcium metabolism disorders and in patients with severe liver or kidney disease.
- DAIVONEX solution for scalp should not be applied directly to the face.
NOT RECOMMENDED :
- In the absence of experience in children, the use of DAIVONEX scalp solution is not recommended in children.
- Breast-feeding: The passage of calcipotriol into breast milk is not known.

Daivonex side effects

Very common> 1/10.
Frequent> 1/100 and <1/10.
Uncommon> 1/1000 and <1/100.
Rare> 1/10000 and <1/1000.
Very rare <1/10000.
About 25% of patients treated with DAIVONEX Scalp Solution may have an adverse effect. These reactions are usually benign.
- Immune system disorders:
Very rare : allergic reactions (including angioedema).
- Metabolic and nutritional disorders:
Very rare : hypercalcemia, hypercalciuria, especially if the recommended total dose is exceeded (see section titration and method of administration).
- Skin and subcutaneous tissue disorders:
. Very common : skin irritation.
. Common : skin rash *, burning sensation, tingling sensation, dryness of skin, pruritus, erythema, contact dermatitis (including facial and perioral).
. Uncommon : worsening of psoriasis, eczema.
. Unknown frequency : transient change in skin pigmentation, transient photosensitivity, urticaria, angioedema, periorbital edema, or facial.
* Different types of rash such as squamous, erythematous, maculopapular, pustular, bullous rash have been reported.
