The treatments against red buttocks are numerous:
> Do not leave baby in a soiled diaper, change it frequently (every 2 to 3 hours), so it is essential to keep baby dry.
> Carefully wash the seat and often, without rubbing, without irritating, then dry the buttocks by dabbing,
> Dry carefully with the warm air of a dryer (at a good distance!).
> Do not put talc that sticks and irritates the skin, leave the baby's bottom in the open air as often as possible. In case of redness beginner: it is advisable to apply an ointment (or protective paste with zinc oxide for example (ask for advice to the doctor or pharmacist).
If oozing, follow the previous tips and baste the wounds with 2% aqueous eosin, but not more than 2 times a day until healing.
Vigilance is still important especially since the diaper rash, once left likely to reappear. If the irritation does not disappear after four or five days, despite all these measures, or if it has spread, if the infant has a fever, it is better to seek the advice of a doctor.
