The fetus at 6 months
The dental buds are in formation, the nails appear, the nerves develop.
The senses are refined, the baby hears, reacts to sounds, and to touch. The different parts of the ear which are of a very complex anatomy, have already been well formed. The cerebellum, an essential organ for equilibrium, enlarges behind the brain.
The fetus moves more and more. In the 6th month of pregnancy, it measures about 33 cm, and weighs 900 grams.
The fetus at 7 months
Myelination (formation of an insulating sheath of myelin around the fibers of the nervous system) is under way. This is an important step in neurological maturation.
The eyelids are about to open, the retina is better and better individualized; but the fetus does not perceive much in a very dark environment.
At birth, the baby does not have all his visual abilities yet, these will develop gradually.
At the end of the seventh month of pregnancy, the fetus measures 37 cm and weighs 1kg500.

The fetus at 8 months
The brain's cortex develops, the baby is sensitive to pain. His nails are well formed.
The listening is refined, and the baby jumps when he hears a sound too violent. He drinks permanently the amniotic fluid, thus developing his taste sensitivity.
He continues to move, kicks, and begins to cramp ... Subcutaneous fat is growing more and more.
At the end of the eighth month of pregnancy, the fetus is about 43 cm, and weighs 2 kg.
