Like any operation, the risks are related to the anesthesia and the intervention itself. In particular, with infectious problems, scarring, the occurrence of a hematoma (which the surgeon will have to evacuate). Another rare risk is the involvement of the facial nerve, which can cause motor problems with certain facial muscles.
