Local use in mouthwashes.

Brush teeth before each use and rinse thoroughly with water before using Paroex.
This solution should be used pure, undiluted.
For each mouthwash, use the contents of a half-cup (12 ml); if this presentation does not contain a scoop, use a tablespoon or about 15 ml. The number of mouthwashes is 1 to 3 per day, about one minute each (after the meal and preferably after brushing the teeth).
Hypersensitivity to chlorhexidine or other component of the solution.
Paroex side effects
Brown staining of tongue and teeth, reversible upon discontinuation of treatment (especially in tea and coffee users).
· Risk of sensitization to one of the constituents of the solution (parotitis, mucocutaneous irritation, cutaneous allergic reaction or general, swelling of the salivary glands), necessitating stopping treatment.
Occasionally dysgeusia or burning sensation of the tongue at the beginning of treatment.
· Occasionally desquamation of the oral mucosa.
